The charming community of Warrensburg boasts the Adirondack Park’s largest National Register-listed historic district. It features some of the most beautiful examples of high-style architecture and inspiring grassroots historic preservation stories. What’s more, new and seasoned property and business owners are tapping into the rich character and opportunities that the town’s superb historic buildings carry. On this outing, learn from local historians and dedicated building owners as you gain special access to numerous historic properties throughout downtown Warrensburg that serve as homes, businesses, and startup ventures. Take in Warrensburg’s broad range of architectural styles from the 19th and 20th centuries, including visits to the historic stone Woodward Block, a rehabilitated factory building-turned business complex, a forthcoming brewery, and some spectacularly restored historic homes with their charismatic stewards.
This tour is led by Warrensburg Beautification’s Teresa Whalen, Warrensburg Town Historian Sandi Parisi, Warrensburg Historical Society’s Delbert Chambers, and several passionate home and business owners. The tour begins at 10 AM and ends around 4 PM.
