The Hague Baptist Church for the rehabilitation of the historic church’s steeple.

The 8 Fire Departments that saved White Pine Camp – Paul Smiths/Gabriels Fire Department, Owls Head Mountain-View Fire Department, Duane Fire Department, St. Regis Fire Department, Tupper Lake Fire Department, Bloomingdale Fire Department, Saranac Lake Fire Department, and Lake Placid Fire Department – for their efforts to save the main buildings at White Pine Camp from a devastating fire in June 2020.

Hotel Saranac, owner Roedel Companies, for the restoration and rehabilitation of this iconic 1927 grand hotel (Village of Saranac Lake, Franklin County).

Westport Town Hall, Town of Westport, for the restoration this building originally constructed in 1928 (Town of Westport, Essex County).

Moss Ledge, owners Michael and Wendy Lincoln, for the restoration and rehabilitation of this William Coulter-designed camp on Upper Saranac Lake (Town of Saranac Lake, Franklin County).

Seven Gables Antiques, owner Audrey Miller, for the rehabilitation and stewardship of this former 1927 gas station (Town of Onchiota, Franklin County).

Ticonderoga High School Auditorium, Ticonderoga School District, for the restoration of this historic auditorium (Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County).

Pat Benton, for her long-term stewardship of  The Hedges on Blue Mountain Lake (Town of Blue Mountain Lake, Hamilton County).

Wiawaka Center for Women for their restoration of the 1903 Wakonda Lodge (Town of Lake George, Warren County).  

Deer’s Head Inn, owners Carolyn Sicher, Aaron Woolf, Karin Demuro, and Dr. Robert Demuro, for their restoration and rehabilitation of this 1808 building (Town of Elizabethtown, Essex County).

Valcour Brewing Company, Mary Theresa Pearl and the late Terry Schmaltz, for the restoration and rehabilitation of the 1838 Old Stone Barracks (Town of Plattsburgh, Clinton County).

Friends of Stillwater Fire Tower, for their restoration of the 1919 Stillwater Fire Tower (Town of Webb, Herkimer County).

Camp Turk, for their long term stewardship of an historic Masonic youth camp (Town of Woodgate, Oneida County).

Richard Longstreth, for his extraordinary work to create and publish A Guide to Architecture in the Adirondacks in 2016.

Michael Frenette, for his skilled and sensitive restoration work at Camp Santanoni over nearly twenty years.


2016

Essex Community Heritage Organization (ECHO) for their restoration of the 1826 Boquet Schoolhouse, Town of Essex, Essex County.

Beers Bridge Way Neighbors, a private association, for their reconstruction of the National Register listed Beers Bridge over the Ausable River, Town of Keene, Essex County.

David and Donna Terry for their preservation and stewardship of the Cabins in Hope, of a group of 1930’s roadside cabins, Town of Hope, Hamilton County.

Ellen Phelan and Joel Shapiro for their restoration and stewardship of Kenjockety, a complex of historic buildings, with gardens designed by landscape architect Dan Kiley, Westport, Essex County.

Lake George Historical Association and Town of Lake George for the renovation and adaptive reuse of the former Warren County Courthouse, Lake George, Warren County.

Chris Cohan and Rita Wong for restoration of Lady Tree Lodge, an 1890’s rustic camp, Upper Saranac Lake, Franklin County.

Nettle Meadow Farm, owners Sheila Flanaga and Lorraine Lambiase, for the restoration of the 1903 barn, for public and agricultural use, Town of Thurman, Warren County.

Strand Center for the Arts for the restoration of the 1924 Strand Theatre, Plattsburgh, Clinton County.


2015

The Whallonsburg Civic Association for their work to restore and rehabilitate the Whallonsburg Grange Hall into a year-round center of community life and activity. Essex, Essex County.

The Sembrich for their long-term stewardship of the historic Marcella Sembrich studio and its grounds. Bolton Landing, Warren County.

Analise Rigan and Merritt Hulst for the restoration of an historic 1896 building into the Paradox House Retreat.  Schroon Lake, Essex County.

The State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry for their extraordinary work to restore and repurpose the Masten House and Huntington Lodge for educational and communities function. Newcomb, Essex County.

Reuben and Cynde Smith for their imaginative adaptive reuse of a former highway garage into a first-class boat shop and boat showroom for Tumblehome Boatshop.  Warrensburg, Warren County.

Pam and Len Broiles for the restoration of the former Wells Baptist Church and its adaptive reuse as “The Revival,” a center for community music, art, discussion, and gathering. Wells, Hamilton County.


2014

Ike Wolgin for the sensitive restoration and adaptive reuse of the former Fanita Boat House, now the Lake George Kayak Company, Bolton Landing, Warren County.

Eli Schwartzberg, for the sensitive restoration and adaptive reuse of the former Willsboro School, now the Champlain Valley Senior Community, Willsboro, Essex County.
