Book Talk: The First Adirondackers with Curt Stager and David Kanietakeron Fadden

Join AARCH for a conversation about The First Adirondackers: 12,000 Years of Indigenous Peoples in the Adirondack Uplands. Co-authored by Curt Stager and David Kanietakeron Fadden, this book challenges the widespread, long-standing belief that the Adirondack uplands of northern New York were uninhabited before the arrival of European colonizers.

In this discussion, authors Curt Stager, PhD, and David Kanietakeron Fadden will shed light on the cultural history of the Adirondacks outside of the widely-told Eurocentric version, helping not only to redefine what it means to be an Adirondacker, but also contributing to a more complete understanding of America itself.
