A New Role at AARCH

We are delighted to share that Samantha Johnson has been promoted to Membership and Communications Director here at AARCH. Samantha first got to know AARCH working here as a Digital Resources Intern between 2017 and 2018, while completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History at SUNY Plattsburgh. After completing her Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Vermont and working in New York City, she returned full-time in May 2021 to serve as our Administrative Director.
Samantha’s energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm make her a key part of our team. Over the last two years, her excellent work with member outreach, event planning, newsletter editing, graphic design, and organizational communications has strengthened our capacity and helped us grow. As the frontline person in our office and at our special events, Samantha is often the first person you see or speak with at AARCH. In this new position, Samantha’s responsibilities will include overseeing our membership, communications, and other fundraising initiatives, all of which support AARCH’s preservation efforts across the Adirondack region.
AARCH members and friends will find Samantha at any one of our preservation trades workshops, a particular professional interest, and can appreciate her graphic design skills on our event invitations and newsletter covers.
Congratulations Samantha!

Congratulations!!!! I know you will do amazing work!
